Restoration
The Maya Forest has faced significant destruction over the last 20 years. Communities are eager to restore their lands and make them profitable again. This project combines sustainable agriculture, silvopasture, agroforestry, and ecological restoration. This project focuses on combining environmental restoration with sustainable community driven tourism opportunities to empower the communities long term. The project will provide sustainable economic opportunities to Mayan communities struggling to earn a living from their land. Projects in this area are both in terrestrial and mangrove ecosystems.
